Octa Light Bulgaria has been in charge to illuminate interiors for all buildings in the residential complex Lekhwiya of Internal Security Force (ISF) in Al Dahil on the outskirts of Doha, Qatar.

Lekhwiya’s mixed-use development covers 3,261,844 square meters. Besides residential buildings, the area includes military buildings, stores, guardhouses, headquarters, workshops, training and sports facilities, health centre, grand mosque, shops, mess, check points, a five-star hotel, a 10,000 spectator stadium and petrol station among other facilities. The camp is planned to have an ultimate resident population of more than 17,000.

The ISF camp has become the first GSAS certified (4 Stars) district project in Qatar, a new classification which aims to promote sustainability in construction and encourage sympathy between new developments and their surrounding areas.

With 4 Stars rating under GSAS Districts Certification, the development has pioneered green building practices on a district level.
